Are you kidding me with these two?!? Gabrielle and Callum are beyond adorable together! They make each other laugh like nobody's business, they are sweet to each other, and you can see the joyful love just all around them every second when they are together! I had SO MUCH FUN with these two earlier this week! Like so much fun I couldn't believe that it was my job to hang out with them to capture their love... it was magical, it was special, and I am honored that I got to be the one to make these photos. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! They make me so happy!
Lexie & Jon | Sneak Peek | Phoenix Engagement Photos | Papago Park
Lexie and Jon are so adorable together, I can barely stand it! I met them at the Arizona Bridal Show earlier this month, and I knew right off that I HAD to photograph them. Little did I know how much fun they have with each other, and how easy my job would be on a cloudy, beautiful evening in Papago park. I love so many of these!!
Thanks so much for trusting me to capture this special time in your lives, guys! It was an honor!
Chase & Ashley | El Chorro Herb Garden Wedding | Phoenix, AZ
You guys, wow, wow, wow. Ashley and Chase's wedding was one for the books! One of the most beautiful wedding venues (in my humble opinion) in Phoenix just opened a brand new wedding space, The Herb Garden at El Chorro, and Ashley and Chase were the very first couple to be married there with a view of Camelback mountain and the beautiful green trees surrounding them. The love between these two was palpable the entire day, and they were up for anything I suggested, so we were able to capture an insane amount of beautiful portraits...as well as so many heartfelt moments between them and their families. And not for nothin' but these two can TEAR UP a dance floor! Prepare to be delighted!!
Ashley and Chase got ready in the same house but on different sides, and they successfully never saw each other the whole morning! I was super impressed, and it was sooo wonderful as a photographer because I could bop back and forth between the two of them!
This wedding space is breath-taking...El Chorro has done such a great job. The walls and greenery make it feel intimate, but you still have a view of Camelback mountain and the beautiful sky. These gates which the bride walked through to Clair de Lune were simply stunning, and the live music that Chase and Ashley chose made for just the perfect ambiance for a wedding. I loved every second!
Short story time! This wedding party was FUNNNNN!! They were cracking me up, and once the dance party started they were all ON THE FLOOR rocking out! I was following the wedding planner to photograph the cake cutting when one of Chase's best men grabbed me and started dancing with me on the dance floor...Just so that I could join in on the festivities! It was my kind of party, so full of laughter and FUN!!! Plus, how adorable are all these people! I want to be all of your friends!
Ashley loved all the green around the venue, so we made me most of it. This beautiful gate came from halfway across the world to witness all the weddings that will take place here.
Not so humble brag... I saw that the light in the parking lot was simply divine, and Ashley and Chase trusted me enough to head out with me... to THE PARKING LOT... for these shots. Between sunset, the back of Ashley's dress and the visible love between these two I think they will still cherish these parking lot photos 30 years from now! I know I will!!
Dat sunset, tho! Wowza!
Annnnd, saved my fave for last... I mean, this is my kind of love... Joyful, full, and wholehearted bliss. Plus Ashley's dimple is my new favorite thing ever...Ahhhh!!!
Oh, what a day! I want to send some thanks to Jennifer Hubbell who came out to second shoot with me since Phil is still in Michigan preparing the Bicentennial Falcon for departure! I had a great day with you! And special thanks to Ashley's friend and fellow photographer Lindy Wadell for connecting us and celebrating the bride with some beautiful photos of her own!
XOXO

Caitlin & Ashmer | Sneak Peek | Chicago Cultural Center Wedding
We had the best of times last weekend with Caitlin and Ashmer!! They started planning this wedding only two months ago, when they booked a spot for a civil ceremony at the Chicago Cultural Center! As you brides and grooms know, that is not much time to plan, but they pulled it off, and it was one of the most joyful, fun, personal weddings I have ever had the pleasure of photographing!!! I cannot wait to go through all of the photos, but I was able to pull a few portraits that caught my eye for a quick sneak peek! ENJOY!
These two were up for anything! We didn't even know which room they were getting married in, or what it would look like, but it turned out to be BEAUTIFUL!
My favorite portrait... The building is simply stunning!
When your friends bring bubble guns for your exit from the building!! CLASSIC! P.S. Can we please talk about this amazing gown and Ash's super fly suit! These two had style like nobody's business, and I LOVED it!
This group was so supportive and fun for the couple, traveling from the center to the reception and stopping at multiple places for photos on the way!
Cheers!
The ladies...
And the men!
Caitlin and Ash, you guys were simply the best, and I enjoyed spending your day with you so much! I can't wait to edit all the rest of your photos, and to hear how married life is treating you!
Molly + Joe | Engaged | Lincoln Park, Chicago IL
My oh my oh my, you are in for a treat with these! You see, Molly is my adorable cousin who lives in Chicago and got engaged to the equally adorable Joe last June. Since I have been shooting weddings every single weekend of September in Chicago I knew that I needed to capture some engagement shots of the two of them while I was in town, and since Molly and Joe live literally across Lincoln Park from each other, we knew that we needed to include their adorable neighborhood and the park in their session!
I am in LOVE with all of these, I just can't even tell you how much I loved watching my little cousin sharing so much love and joy with her man...but I'll shut up now so that you can see them! We started in the cutest courtyard entrance to an apartment building EVER!
Then we headed over to Lincoln Park and I found the low sunlight peaking through buildings and trees OH WOW OH WOW it was beautiful!!
I love me a Classic, Beautiful smiling engagement shot. Mom and Dad want to frame it (You're welcome Aunt Karon and Uncle Clem) and you will treasure it now and thirty years from now! Always an important piece of my engagement sessions, and this is one of my favorites EVER!!
I think you can see love come alive when you watch two people who are in love laugh together... and Molly and Joe have it in spades!! I can't even tell you how happy it makes me to see them so happy in this next photo!
Chicago... Chicago... Oh how I love you!!
And to end the night, a quick dance under the pavilion!
Thanks for spending a fun evening with me, guys! And for the Chicago cousin dinner that you set up afterward! It was great to see everyone, and great to finally meet you, Joe! I CAN'T wait for the wedding next year!!
XOXO

Stephanie & Chad | Married | Sneak Peek| Spring Lake Events, Georgia
I have known Stephanie since she was 15 years old. My brother fell in love with her sister and for the past eleven years, they have been married. We share two nephews, and one niece, an amazing sister, and a fabulous sense of humor! I first heard about Chad a few years ago, and seeing these lovebirds together on their wedding day it was completely obvious that they are made for each other! I was so happy to be able to travel to Spring Lake Events in Georgia for their rustic, personal, perfectly "them" wedding last weekend. Hopefully they get to see this before they leave port for their Caribbean cruise this week! Enjoy your sneak peek guys!
Are you kidding me with the beauty of these two sisters?!?! And proud Papa's beaming smile makes me so happy!!
Stephanie was such a gorgeous bride! That headpiece had me like woah!!!
Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your special day. It was simply awesome, and I am so glad that I was there to spend it with you!!! Enjoy the Caribbean!!!
XOXO

Isaac & Meagan & Ahmad | Family | Sneak Peek| Phoenix, Arizona
I had the pleasure of photographing Isaac's newborn photos about a year ago, and it was time to update the family fun again! We went downtown to Roosevelt Row in Phoenix and captured some of the fun of a family of three at the one-year mark! Once again Meagan and Ahmad brought their fun and laughter, and Isaac is definitely taking after his parents with the beautiful smiles! Enjoy!
Aleah & Bryan | Married | Sneak Peek | Sedona, Arizona
Oh What a beautiful day it was when Aleah and Bryan laughed and smiled their way into marriage in Sedona last weekend! This one was such a treat for Phil and I, and I'm so glad that we got to be part of the festivities on a perfect spring day at Poco Diablo Resort. Enjoy this sneak peek, guys!!!
Spencer & Corwin | Married | Sneak Peek | Phoenix, AZ
Spencer and Corwin had a beautiful and super fun wedding this weekend in Phoenix, and Phil and I were lucky enough to get to spend the day with them as they laughed, joked, and loved their way through their wedding day. Thanks for sharing it with us, guys! Here are some sneak peeks!
A man must have his beard combed to be ready for his bride ;-).
I LOVE a good church exit, and this one was adorable! Pink petals were everywhere, and these two were so happy! I mean, just look at their faces... I don't have to tell you, there is a photo!!!
I am officially obsessed... let me repeat... OBSESSED with Spencer's tattoo. I love it, and so I took made a picture of it :-).
Thanks so much guys for giving me the honor of capturing your day. It was such a treat! I hope you have a great time trekking with your truck in the Arizona mountains!!
XOXO

Hannah & Ryan | Married | Sneak Peek | Winston-Salem, NC |
Ryan and Hannah had the most beautiful wedding in North Carolina last weekend. Seriously, it was breathtakingly beautiful and as a photographer I felt like I was in a dream... As a human being I was amazed by these two. You see, when they said "in sickness and in health" they got to start living it immediately as they both had come down with a 24 hour stomach bug and spent their first hours as a married couple taking care of each other. I tell you this only so that you can be amazed by how beautiful these two look even "in sickness"...And so that the wedding hashtag makes sense :-) #pukeandrallywedding Here's your sneak peek, guys!
Kourtney & Devan | Married | Holland Michigan
Kourtney and Devan found me through Devan's soon to be sister in law and brother. We are in an online photography group together, and I am so thankful that they shared my information because this was a truly special wedding between two people who are so very much in love, and I would have hated to miss one second of it! Kourtney's smile was so genuine and was on her face all day, and Devan (who had loved this girl for a looong time) was so full of joy and amazement at seeing his bride that a rainstorm in the middle of December couldn't have kept him away! Thank you for sharing your day with me, I can't wait for you to see what we captured!
Their first look was amazing, they were both so overwhelmed to see each other! There may have been tears... I won't tell you from whom :-).
It was a rainy, drizzly day, but you never would have known if you looked at the bride and groom... everyone else on the other hand... we grabbed some umbrellas!
Are you kidding me with this dessert selection! It was amazing!
Congratulations Devan and Kourtney, and thank you for allowing Phil and I to be a part of your amazing day!
XOXO

SNEAK PEEK | Keegan| Senior Photos| Phoenix, AZ
Oh I adore Keegan and his family. I have actually had the pleasure of doing head shots for this fine young actor and is sister for the past two years, and they have grown up in front of my eyes! Next year, Keegan will probably be off to New York, or LA, or some other such exciting place to study his love of filmmaking, but we had a great time right here in his hometown of Phoenix, AZ capturing who he is right now, actor, filmmaker, and all around awesome guy!
Keegan, here is your sneak peek, can't wait to show you the rest later this month!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
From my family to yours, may you have the happiest 2016!! Remember, no man is a failure who has friends!
Love,
Erin + Phil and Scout the Dog
SNEAK PEEK | Fireman Family | Phoenix, AZ
Fireman Family, I had the best afternoon exploring the desert with you!! Thank you so much for playing along with all my crazy ideas and for reminding us all how important it is to capture memories even when everyone is getting older and spread out across the country! Give Winston a kiss for me, and I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!!
Ainsley + Jessica + Matt = Happy Family and Cake!!!
Oh my goodness, how do I even begin with this beautiful family! I had such an amazing time with them!! We started our day in their beautiful, light filled home, and then headed out to get some fun shots in the park. The desert sun was POUNDING down that day, but we found our shady spots, and moved fast and made some beautiful family portraits. Then came the cake-smash, which was just SO SO SO much fun.... why am I telling you this, just see for yourself!!
Look at how expressive this little beauty is! When Phil was helping me choose the photos for this blog post he wanted to include every shot we took because she had a different expression in each!
We headed to the park and found some family fun times!
Oh my goodness, little Miss Ainsley got some good genes from mom and dad! Jessica and Matt, you both look beautiful!!
Then it was time for us to do the cake-smash to celebrate Ainsley's first birthday. We weren't sure how much she would play along, but after a few tastes of frosting baby girl was all about that cake!!! She dug in and even decided that she wanted to share with mom and dad!! We were all laughing and loving watching her joy!! Frosting on her fingers, frosting in her hair... it was messy and beautiful and so much fun!!
This has to be my favorite... The cake was off the stand, and Ainsley was just covered in frosting. Best cake-smash ever!!!!
Baby Noah + Mom + Dad = Newborn at Home
Last week you got to see the photos of Baby Noah in the hospital and in honor of the British Royal Princess going HOME today I thought it would be fun to share the beautiful photos that we made of Noah and his parents when he came home. In the tradition of Duchess Kate, I don't know how Katie looked this good within days of giving birth, but she was glowing!! We enjoyed an afternoon at home, and because of the mild Phoenix weather at the time (now it's 100 out, but a few weeks ago it was perfection) Noah got to be out on the porch to enjoy some sunshine :-). Check out this little perfect family of three!!
Noah's baby blues just SLAY me!! I mean, look at those peepers!! Beautiful!
I love how easily the new mamas I photograph fall into that role. That bond between mother and baby is so apparent and I love capturing it!
So much love in this shot... one of my faves :-)
We went out on the porch for some of the yummy afternoon sunlight, and this next one might be my other favorite :-)
Goodnight Sweet Noah. Thanks so much for letting me move you around and bother you for a few hours. I promise you will be happy that I did when you look at these in thirty years :-)
XOXO

Baby Noah + Mom + Dad = Beautiful Family Photos in the Hospital!!!
Katie and Matt are so wonderful. When I was starting my business, Katie was one of the first people to call me for a portrait session, and after a wine tasting trip to Prescott, AZ it remains one of my favorite sessions ever!! So when Katie wrote to me about capturing some sweet moments at the hospital with her new baby I was all in!! She texted me during labor cool as a cucumber, but baby Noah wanted to wait until the evening to make his appearance, so I came by the hospital the following morning to catch some precious moments with the new family of three!
Don't you just want to eat Noah's little baby toes!! SO TINY!!!
Dad was getting his swaddling practice in. Lookin' good, there, Matt!!
And one more of those nibble-able toes, because I love them so much!!!
Welcome to the world, little Noah! It's a beautiful place!! I'm go glad that I got to be a part of your beginning here!
There will be more to come from the at-home-lifestyle session we shot the next week, so like my facebook page or follow my instagram to be one of the first to know when they go live on the blog!!
| Laura + Sam = In Love | Scorpion Gulch | Phoenix | Anniversary Photos|
Laura and Sam are two of my favorite people in the world. A few years ago, they got married on the top of a cliff in Sedona with some of their closest friends, and it was BEAUTIFUL. Since they essentially eloped, they didn't have a professional photographer at their wedding... in fact, in the entirety of their 6 year relationship, they hadn't EVER had professional portraits taken of them. When I found this out I was all like "I'M TAKING YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS NAD YOU CAN'T SAY NO!!!" Luckily they said YES!!! So we got together, drank a few Burning Bird Brewery beers (brewed by Sam and oh so yummy) and I captured some of this beautifulness and love... oh so much beautifulness and love...
Scorpion Gulch is AMAZINGLY beautiful. I had never actually been there, and I was blown away that it is right at the edge of South Mountain, only 20 minutes from my house!!
You guys are aware that you are total hotties, right? Like, seriously... H-O-T-T-I-E-S.
this black and white is one of my very favorites :-)
As you can see, the sunset turned the sky cotton candy blue and pink... and the well coordinated outfits that Laura had picked coordinated with the gift from mother nature perfectly!! Could we ask for anything more? Ummmm... I don't think so!
My favorite... so much love!!! So happy!!!
Laura and Sam are from Michigan, but they are Arizona desert people, now... I'm seeing a canvas of this silhouette hanging in your house in the near future...Because you have to represent for your desert home!!
Thank you guys so much for spending a sunset with me and Phil in front of my camera. We had so much fun with you, and I hope you get to enjoy these photos for years to come!! Love to you both!!
XOXO

Brett + Liz + Grayson + Auryn = Weston Bend State Park Happy Family
Weston Bend State Park is one of my favorite places in the world. My parents used to take me and my brothers there on weekends in the fall and spring when I was a little girl, and I always LOVED all the fall leaves. As much as I am an Arizona girl now, you can't beat the leaves changing in the fall on the edge of the Missouri River. That land is in my blood. So when my sister in law, Liz, wanted a fun and beautiful place to capture family photos last fall, of course I knew we HAD to go to Weston Bend. We caught the leaves juuuuuust in time, and I think these might be some of my favorite photos I have ever taken.
Can we all agree that Liz did an exceptional job coordinating outfits for her family for this shoot? Cuz.. yeah... they cleaned up real nice :-).
This next one is my favorite.
My other favorite :-).
My third favorite (this is my website, I get as many favorites as I want :-).
We then headed into the little town of Weston for lunch and were able to capture a few photos of just my nephews. These guys are cookey and I LOVE it!! Grayson is at the fun age (3) when posing for Tia Erin isn't the most fun, but playing with Tia Erin makes for some silly photos!
And Auryn. OMG, this kiddo!! If you ask him for a kiss he puts his hands on your cheeks and softly kisses your lips. It is the SWEETEST and I was so lucky to get him kissin' on his big brother (because these days are fleeting, people).
There's something special about photographing people that you love. I'm so glad that I got to capture this special time in my brother's family's life (before niece or nephew number three joins us in August!!!). Thanks you guys! Love you bunches!!
Emily + Alex = LOVE | Desert Botanical Gardens and Papago Park Engagement | Phoenix Arizona
Emily and Alex got my information from a mutual friend, and gave me a call a few months ago about their wedding. I am SO glad that they did! These two are so in love, and so adorable together that I had the time of my life shooting their engagement photos! You just have to see them, so here they are!!!
We started out at Desert Botanical gardens at sunrise, before the garden even opened, and Emily and Alex brought along their fun puppy, Porter. A happy puppy in the morning is always a reason to smile :-). Look at those ears!!! ADORABLE!!
I will wake up before sunrise for things like this :-).
Emily, you are simply beautiful. These are two of my faves :-).
After a quick costume change, we "ran" over to Papago Park! (You can see their running shoes in the next photo... Oh, I crack myself up!!! :-) I asked Alex and Emily to bring some props that mean something to them, and they love to run together, so they brought their shoes. I love me a good prop, and we incorporated them into a few shots.
Oh hey, you two, Ralph Lauren called and they need you for next year's catalogue stat :-).
This one in the tall grass is one of my other favorites. :-)
All I can say is there is ooodles of chemistry and love between these two, and I am so glad that I get to capture more of it at their wedding in October. Thanks for the great morning, Emily and Alex!
