After a very productive day working on the wedding photography business, someone needed a walk, and I wasn't about to miss this sunset.
Erin is almost done editing the Charleston wedding, so I've got to get started culling our Phoenix wedding tomorrow in order to keep up! Engagement sessions, boudoir shoots, and a Sedona wedding all coming up in the next couple weeks when we're back in Arizona!

Between Editing & Photographing
The Bicentennial Falcon gathers a lot of dust with all this traveling. But the nice thing is it doesn't take long to deep clean 180 square feet.
Erin took a break from editing the Charleston wedding to ogle me and snapped this picture.

National Park Adventure
We have the world’s greatest job. Our most exciting workdays are spent with amazing couples all over the country on literally the happiest days of their lives. Our most tedious days (i.e. editing all the photographs from those weddings and engagements and family sessions) are spent with each other and Scout in places like this in a home we built.

FACT: Photo Editing is Better with Pie

Exploring & Photographing
Exploring the Mogollon ghost town. It took all winter, but Scout and I finally found some snow. Met an old-timer (one of just a handful of permanent residents) on the way up the Graveyard Trail who told us about the deer and bears and mountain lions that wander across his property regularly and about the good ol’ days of boozing and jam sessions before the “yuppies” moved in.
Sounds like my kind of town.

Taking a Break from Photo Editing
A return to civilization! But still sixty miles to the nearest city.
Culling all the “blinkers” from a wedding shoot gets tiring but natural hot springs and a view of the New Mexican sunset (not to mention this beautiful woman I convinced to marry me) really eases the eyestrain.
Apologies for the cloudiness of the photo. Steam fogged up my lens.

Editing Photos on the Road
Our backyard for the next 18 hours. After a short day traveling the winding roads of southern Arizona, Erin is busy editing a boudoir session at her desk in the bedroom (I’m not allowed back there right now) and I’m culling the photos from our most recent wedding. Then dinner and an episode or two of ‘Castle’ before a fire.

Traveling Photographers on the Road Again
On the road again. After a busy bridal show to book more Phoenix Wedding Photography gigs this year and meeting with a number of excited couples, Erin and Scout and I are headed out into the wilderness for some starry nights, wide open spaces, and off-the-grid adventure. Gotta be back in Phoenix in a few weeks for more engagement shoots, boudoir sessions, and some weddings but until then it’s our own time to work, explore, and play.
